Brief list of participation benefits: There is no direct benefit to you for participating in the study. You will, however, be contributing to the knowledge about your value and commitment to specific life roles and how they relate to your life satisfaction. Your responses can help bring forth information surrounding military spousal roles and provide insight to addressing and supporting those spouses with multiple roles outside the home. Partaking in this study is strictly voluntary; therefore you will not receive anything to participate.

Time or other commitment required of the participants: Completion of the instruments will take no longer than 10-15 minutes.

Name of research supervisor: Autumn Keefer, PhD

Purpose of the research: The purpose of this research study is to examine how a military spouse's level of role salience (or role importance, participation & commitment) and balance of roles may affect her satisfaction with life.

Criteria used to determine eligibility for the study: Participation is completely voluntary.  Any married woman between the ages of 18-45 whose husband is serving in any branch of the United States Military is eligible to participate.
